Most writing platforms are built around publishing, reads, rankings, and visibility. This creates pressure for writers who are still developing their stories, returning from burnout, or simply not ready to share unfinished work.
Writers needed a private space where they could organize their stories, build a writing habit, and receive encouragement without turning every writing session into a performance.

I designed OurSpace as a responsive writing platform with three connected environments:
The core experience, Candle Sessions, allowed writers to start a focused session, track their time and words, review their progress, and choose whether to keep the result private or share it with the community.
The platform grew to nearly 1,000 registered writers, including 860 users during its first week of soft launch, and continued evolving through hundreds of product iterations across mobile UX, authentication, data recovery, syncing, analytics, and community features.
